The International Padel Federation and Joma Sport have reached a sponsorship agreement whereby the Spanish brand and the governing body of international Padel begin their relationship as partners with the aim of contributing to the growth of the sport.
Joma will be a technical sponsor, occupying the category of Official Apparel and Footwear of the FIP, with presence in the CUPRA FIP TOUR 2021 events, organized by the International Federation at a global level – more than 70 tournaments in categories FIP Gold, FIP Star, FIP Rise, and FIP Promotion-.
The Spanish brand will design and produce a personalized collection with the FIP logo, proving its commitment to this agreement. The organization and staff of the tournaments will wear this clothing line. The public attending the tournaments will also be able to purchase products from this JOMA-FIP collection in the JOMA spaces that will be installed at the tournaments.
This partnership between the two entities is another step in the exponential international growth that Padel has experienced in recent years. Thanks to the increase in the practice of this sport and the effort and involvement of federations, organizations, brands and media, Padel is the sport with the greatest future projection and without losing sight of a goal to achieve: That the Padel is an Olympic sport.
Through this agreement, the FIP will have visibility in the more than 120 countries where Joma is commercially present, while for Joma the sponsorship of the FIP will consolidate the brand image in the world of padel.
About the agreement that will unite both entities, Luigi Carraro, President of the FIP, affirmed that:
“Padel is getting stronger every day, and proof of this is the relationship that has just been born between one of the most complete and important textile and footwear brands in the world: Joma and the International Padel Federation. The union of these two institutions will give Padel even more visibility.
There is no better way to continue working on the expansion of Padel, than hand in hand with a great company with a presence in over 120 countries, and that supports several national Olympic Committees, countless federations of different sports disciplines and clubs around the world.
Undoubtedly, this is great news that fills me with satisfaction because of the potential of the common project, the development of Padel in federations, clubs, players and players at an international level”.
Alberto Lopez, General Manager of Joma Sport and Head of the Textile Department stated that:
“Having the confidence of the International Padel Federation is a recognition of the work that we have done in Joma in recent years. The investment in textile product development, footwear and now with the launch of the paddle line for the FIP, demonstrates our clear commitment to this sport.
It is an honor that they have chosen Joma as a partner. For Joma this agreement represents a great opportunity and I am sure we will do a great job together to contribute to the excellent future prospects of the sport. Whatever we can do to help padel reach its peak, we will do it”.
