Two Brazilian players have reached the semi-finals of the FIP Gold on home soil in S\u00e3o Paulo, with the prospect of going even further. <strong>Cirne<\/strong> and 17-year-old <strong>Giusti Gomes<\/strong>, one of the biggest talents in international Padel, first defeated the number 4 seeds, Spain\u2019s <strong>Ainize Santamaria<\/strong> and Argentina\u2019s <strong>Fiorella Propato<\/strong>, 7-5 6-2, before repeating the feat against Argentines <strong>Martina Marcel<\/strong> and <strong>Jazmin Dos Santos<\/strong>, winning 6-2 6-1. Today, they will face number 2 seeds <strong>Lorena Rufo<\/strong> and <strong>Jessica Castell\u00f3<\/strong> in the semi-finals.\u00a0The other semi-final in the women\u2019s draw has followed expectations, with <strong>Jimena Velasco<\/strong> and <strong>Raquel Eugenio<\/strong> (1) facing <strong>Anna Ortiz<\/strong> and <strong>Maria Laura Ferreyra<\/strong> (2). Both semi-finalist pairs conceded just seven games across their two matches, winning both encounters by the same scorelines: 6-1 6-2 in the round of 16 and 6-2 6-2 in the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>MEN<\/b> In the presence of FIP President <strong>Luigi Carraro<\/strong>, who was in S\u00e3o Paulo, the men\u2019s semi-final line-up was also confirmed. As with the semi-final in the top half of the women\u2019s draw, the results followed expectations. <strong>Alex Arroyo<\/strong> and <strong>Jos\u00e9 Jimenez<\/strong> won both of their matches without dropping a set, against <strong>De Barros\/Carlesso<\/strong> and <strong>Lopez\/Dal Bianco<\/strong>. <strong>Jos\u00e9 Diestro<\/strong> and <strong>Juanlu Esbri<\/strong>, meanwhile, needed a deciding third set in the quarter-finals to overcome Argentines <strong>Francisco Mayer<\/strong> and <strong>Leonardo Yob<\/strong> 6-2 1-6 6-3.\u00a0The protagonists of the bottom-half semi-final enjoyed a perfect run: <strong>Alex Chozas<\/strong> and <strong>Juani De Pascual<\/strong>, after defeating <strong>Octavio and Mateo Alvarez<\/strong> and <strong>Diaz\/Graupera<\/strong>, will face <strong>David Gala<\/strong> and <strong>Maxi Arce<\/strong>.
