FCP President Diego Gil stated: “On behalf of the Canary Federation, we would like to thank the International Federation for giving us the opportunity to have here a stage of the world circuit. With this event in l’Isla de La Palma and the growing interest in padel even on an island of 80,000 inhabitants, we would like to thank all the fans of the sport for their welcome to the Fip Rise Isla De La Palma.
La Palma currently has more than 5,000 padel players and more than 400 federated players, who compete weekly in the Canarian circuit, with the strong support of the Cabildo de La Palma and the Government of the Canary Islands. We must also highlight the great work of Nahún Martín Perez, promoter of the Fip Rise Isla De La Palma. His commitment to padel in La Palma dates back to 2015 when he founded the Club Deportivo Batatazo, and he is currently the point of reference in Canarian and national padel.
Finally, we want to thank for the support the International Padel Federation, the Canary Islands Government,Turismo Islas Canarias, Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida, Deportes del Cabildo de La Palma, the Municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane, UDB Tazo and Aquahobby, as well as Bullpadel, MejorSet and Italgreen Padel. Our thanks also to the institutions that participated in this event: we always hope to count on you for future editions”.
