Agrigento, Top seeds Fernandez-Mouriño and Godallier-Bellver win

Antonio ‘Pincho’ Fernandez and Federico Mouriño in the men’s event, Lea Godallier and Sandra Bellver in the women’s: these are the winners of the FIP Bronze Agrigento (Italy), played this weekend and giving 40 points in the FIP ranking.

In the men’s draw, the top-seeded pair won the final against Castaño-Suescun with the score 6-7, 6-4, 6-0. Fernandez and Mouriño take their second international title of 2025 after winning the FIP Bronze Bahrain.

“We are very happy to win this tournament in a beautiful city like Agrigento. It was a hard weekend with many matches in a short time, but we got a great result thanks to our strong effort. I want to thank the city of Agrigento and its wonderful people for making us feel at home,” said Antonio Fernandez after the final.

In the women’s draw, the top-seeded team also won: Lea Godallier (semifinalist at FIP Silver Caltanissetta, also in Sicily) and Sandra Bellver (winner of the FIP Bronze Alicante) won 6-1, 6-3 in the final against the Spanish pair De Lera-Millan.
