Day 4. Martina Calvo’s talent shines once again. Eight matches today

Before the new order of play for today’s Premier Padel Buenos Aires P1, Martina Calvo’s talent shone once again. It was a magical moment for the Spanish player born in 2008, who is not yet 17 years old and who, after reaching the quarter-finals in Brussels and Asuncion, was able to do even better in Argentina. Paired with “Vikinga” Aranzazu Osoro, Martina defeated Sofia Araujo and another young talent, Andrea Ustero, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, earning a place in the semi-finals against Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, who advanced thanks to a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno. In the bottom half of the draw, meanwhile, there will be a rematch of the Asuncion final: on one side Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay (6-2, 6-1 against Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen), on the other Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez (7-5, 1-6, 6-1 against Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga).

MEN A technical issue at the Parque Roca centre court has postponed the men’s quarter-finals until today, starting at 9 a.m. local time, 2 p.m. CET. The first match will be between Di Nenno/Tello and Chingotto/Galan, the only one that started yesterday, with the other three quarter-finals to follow. The semi-finals will also be played in the afternoon in Buenos Aires, which will decide the two pairs that will compete for the title on Sunday.
