Open Dezhou, The CUPRA FIP Tour arrives in China for the first time: Torre-Cepero and Perez-Varo lead the draws

The CUPRA FIP Tour is coming to China for the first time ever, showing how international the tour has become. This weekend, the FIP Silver Open Dezhou will take place, with both men’s and women’s draws full of players ranked in the world top 100.

The top-seeded men’s team is Agustin Torre and Alvaro Cepero, ranked 68 and 38 in the FIP ranking. They just won the FIP Bronze of Esc in Finland. On the other side of the draw, we have Marco Cassetta (currently the most successful player on the tour along with Flavio Abbate, with ten wins) and José Gonzalez (who has nine wins in the CUPRA FIP Tour), ranked 100 and 87 in the world.

The women’s draw is led by Alba Perez and Ana Varo, who won the FIP Bronze of Hong Kong. They are ranked 74 and 67 in the FIP ranking. On the other side of the draw are Camila Ramme (who won the last three CUPRA tournaments in a row) and Catherine Rose (ranked 111).

The tournament will take place in Dezhou from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18, and will award 80 points for the FIP ranking.
