Romania, Axelsson-Vasquez and Polo-Aguilar are the top seeds in the first tournament of the CUPRA FIP Tour

Adam Axelsson and Simon Vasquez are the top players in the men’s draw. Julia Polo and Noemi Aguilar are number one in the women’s draw. This is the first FIP Silver in Romania, and the first tournament of the international CUPRA FIP Tour this year.

The two Swedish players, Axelsson and Vasquez, already won the FIP Gold Dubai and the FIP Bronze Sweden in February. They are number 107 and 83 in the world. The second team in the men’s draw is Pedro Melendez and Victor Mena, who are number 131 and 95 in the FIP ranking.

In the women’s draw, the number one team from Spain is followed by Patri Martinez (the player with the most wins in the CUPRA FIP Tour, together with Nati Lopez Diaz, with 10 titles) and Leti Manquillo. They won the FIP Silver Manila last week.

The tournament will take place in Timisoara (in Romania) and gives 80 points for the FIP ranking.
