Partnering with Lucia Martinez Gomez, Marrero will face Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros in what will be the last tournament of her career. “I’m closing a special chapter in my life – announced the former world number one in the last days –. It has been a journey full of hard work, growth and incredible people who have shaped my path. Now I’m starting a new chapter, as I look forward to welcoming my second daughter. Padel will always be part of my life, but from a different perspective”. In November 2023, Marrero had already become a mother to Flavia and had returned to competition.

WEDNESDAY Marrero’s possible last match, but not only that. All the big names on the Premier Padel Costa Daurada Tarragona P1 draw will be on court: before Marta, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia will face Andres Fernandez Lancha and Alvaro Cepero, while in the evening it will be time for Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan against Teo Zapata and José Jimenez. On court number 2, with the programme starting at 9 a.m. CET, two pairs that are arousing great curiosity will play: first Martin Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger (6) against Rama Valenzuela and Fede Mouriño, then Pablo Cardona and Juan Tello (8) against David Gala and Lucas Campagnolo.
