July 13, 2025
While Great Britain had already reached the Final 8 of the FIP Euro Padel Cup after the first two ties, the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany are the other three national teams that have qualified for the final stage alongside Spain, Italy, Portugal and France. Great Britain, the Netherlands and Germany have therefore qualified both national teams for the Final 8.
In Group A, the Netherlands (with a 9-0 record, like Sweden and Great Britain) didn’t drop a set against Belgium, with Finland third after a 3-0 win over Hungary. The same goes for Sweden over Denmark in Group B, with Croatia on the podium thanks to a 3-0 win over San Marino.
Great Britain, already top of Group C after two ties, finished with a 3-0 win over Monaco, in a group where Switzerland completed Phase 2 in second place ahead of Greece. The most closely fought tie of the day at Padel G24 in Madrid was between Germany and Poland, won 2-1 by the Germans thanks to Bohnke and Merten’s 6-7, 6-2, 7-5 victory over Krawczynski and Bartusek. Lithuania finished third with a 3-0 win over Bulgaria.
