FIP Junior World Cup 2025, a record-breaking edition: 66 teams from 36 countries heading to Reus

Bigger than ever, with more countries than ever. The FIP Junior World Cup 2025 sets a new milestone for padel’s NextGen, with 66 teams expected in Reus (Spain) between the final stage and the qualifiers, and a total of 36 countries participating — compared to j20 in the 2023 edition. From September 29 to October 4, the Catalan city will host the 15th edition of the tournament, bringing together the best young talents from around the world.

Organised by the FIP in collaboration with Premier Padel Spain, and supported by the Government of Catalonia, the Province of Tarragona – Costa Daurada, and the City of Reus, the Junior World Cup returns to Europe after the 2023 edition in Asunción, where Spain won both team titles.

BOYS Twelve national teams are already qualified for the boys’ tournament based on the FIP ranking: Spain, Sweden, Argentina, Paraguay, France, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal, Ecuador, Chile, and Belgium. The remaining four spots will be up for grabs during the qualifiers from September 26 to 28, with the following countries competing: Egypt, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, United States, Senegal, Japan, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Qatar, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Netherlands, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and Venezuela.

GIRLS Twelve girls’ teams are also already through to the final phase thanks to their FIP ranking: Spain, Argentina, Italy, Sweden, Mexico, France, Portugal, Brazil, Egypt, Paraguay, Chile, and Uruguay. The qualifiers — which will also award four spots — will include Ecuador, Japan, United States, Iran, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Netherlands, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and Venezuela.

FORMAT There will be three age categories – Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 – both for national teams and for the doubles tournament. The team final phase will kick off on September 29. The schedule includes three days of group matches (until October 1), followed by the quarterfinals (October 2), semifinals (October 3) and finals (October 4). The doubles tournament, which will count for the FIP Promises ranking, will also be held from September 29 to October 4, with two pairs per qualified country going straight into the main draw.

Matches will be played across three venues: Club Tennis Reus Monterols, Aurial Reus Mas Sedó, and the Reus Arena, where the finals will take place; three great stages where the future of padel will shine with talent and passion.
