FIP world circuits in the first six months of 2025: +86% tournaments, +35% players, more FIP Promises than in all of 2024. What a growth for the web and social media

The growth of padel continues. Figures from the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department on activity in the first six months of 2025 reveal a picture of development at both grassroots and elite levels. In the first half of 2025, 132 tournaments were played, including 12 Premier Padel, 75 CUPRA FIP Tour and 45 FIP Promises: the figure for the circuit dedicated to young talents has already exceeded that for the whole of 2024, when 41 FIP Promises were played. Compared to the first half of 2024, when a total of 71 tournaments were played, there has been an 86% increase, with the number of countries where at least one tournament was played rising from 21 in 2024 to 38 in 2025. Padel is played all over the world: 53% of tournaments were held in Europe, but it was also played in Asia (20,7%), South America (11,6%), Central and North America and Africa (6,1% for each continent) and Oceania (2,4%).

PLAYERS In the first six months of 2025, the total number of players who participated in the two circuits, Premier Padel and CUPRA FIP Tour, was 3,266 (2,299 men and 967 women) from 91 countries: 61,7% European, 17,8% American, 13,6% Asian, 4,8% African and 2,1% from Oceania. The main countries with the highest number of players are Spain (28,7%), Argentina (7,1%), Italy (5,6%) and Portugal (4,5%). The CUPRA FIP Tour tournaments attracted 3,155 participants from 91 countries, while the Premier Padel tournaments attracted 583 participants from 29 different countries. Some players took part in tournaments on both circuits. In the first six months of 2024, the number of players who had participated in the two circuits, Premier Padel and CUPRA FIP Tour, was 2,419, an increase of 847 (+35%) in 12 months, coming from 65 countries (+40% between 2024 and 2025).

WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA Growth on the court, growth on the web and social media. In the first six months of 2025, the padelfip.com website recorded 1,850,000 unique users (+300,000 compared to the first half of 2024; +19%) and over 30 million views (+33% compared to the first half of 2024). There are 680,000 followers on social media accounts, with an increase of 23% in the last six months, which becomes +33.1% for Instagram and +37% for LinkedIn.
