Lelystad, From the “Martas” to Sanchez and Santigosa: many top 100 players in the Netherlands

The CUPRA FIP Tour is back in the Netherlands. This weekend, the FIP Silver Lelystad will be played, with both men’s and women’s draws.
The top seeds in the men’s draw are Emilio Sanchez and Daniel Santigosa, ranked 58 and 68 in the FIP rankings. They are coming from three wins in the last month: FIP Bronze Benidorm, FIP Silver Utrecht, and FIP Silver Chengdu. On the other side of the main draw are Diego Garcia and Javi Martinez, ranked 56 and 81 in the world.
The women’s draw is led by the “Martas”: Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros, who reached the quarterfinals at the Italy Major Premier Padel and are ranked 26 and 29 in the FIP rankings. Right behind them in the seeding are Lara Arruabarrena (44) and Julieta Bidahorria (41), who won the FIP Silver Utrecht in the Netherlands one month ago.
