Padel Europe meets in Madrid during the FIP Euro Padel Cup
July 10, 2025
Within the framework of the FIP Euro Padel Cup 2025, the representatives from the Affiliated Federations with Padel Europe gathered today in Madrid to receive updates on the latest activities of both the Association and the International Padel Federation (FIP).
A key milestone for the Association was reaching 41 Member Federations, marking continued growth and unity within the European padel community.
Luigi Carraro, President of the FIP, opened the meeting by stating: “We are proud to celebrate the first edition of the new format of the FIP Euro Padel Cup — a significant milestone for padel, and particularly for the growth of the sport in Europe. It is truly inspiring to see you all here today. Almost a year ago, in Cagliari, 31 National Federations came together to sign the constitution of Padel Europe. Today, we are proud to count over 40 National Federations as part of this growing family. We wish you and your teams the very best in this journey. You can count on our full support. We are one family — and only by working together, united, can we achieve our shared goal: to make padel one of the most important sports in the world”.
Ramon Morcillo, President of Padel Europe, welcomed the delegates to Spain and emphasized the Association’s mission: “Padel Europe is a platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening collaboration, and safeguarding the collective interests of its Members”.
Attendees received key updates from the FIP Team. Donatella Del Gaudio, FIP Director of Corporate Affairs, shared developments regarding Affiliated Members, the launch of the Padel Europe logo, and progress on the Olympic recognition process.
Guillermo Alcaide, FIP Sport Director, shared an overview of upcoming FIP initiatives designed to support the growth of padel at all levels — professional, youth, and amateur. He also highlighted FIP’s strong commitment to education, introducing the upcoming launch of the FIP Academy, a platform dedicated to promoting learning, exchange, and broader participation in the sport. Further details will be announced soon.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the FIP offices and the Movistar Arena, the venue hosting this year’s competition.
