Belgrade, Abbate-Montiel and Sharifova-Riera win in Serbia

Abbate-Montiel in the men’s category and Sharifova-Riera in the women’s category are the winning pairs at the FIP Silver Belgrade, played this weekend. It was the first CUPRA FIP Tour tournament ever held in Serbia.

In the men’s draw, the FIP rankings number 86 and 87, who already won together at the FIP Bronze Cyprus and the FIP Silver Bristol in 2025, won the final 7-5, 7-6 against Guillermo Collado and Pol Hernandez, winners of the FIP Silver Giulianova and FIP Silver Port de Bandol in recent months. This is the 11th title in the CUPRA FIP Tour for Flavio Abbate, who is now third in the all-time list, behind Marco Cassetta (13 titles) and José Luis Gonzalez (12).

In the women’s draw, the number one seeds Ksenia Sharifova (world number 30 and winner of the FIP Silver Dubai in April) and Virginia Riera (ranked 31) won 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the final against Anna Ortiz and Giulia Dal Pozzo, who had already won three CUPRA FIP Tour tournaments together this year.
