Lyttos Crete II, another win for Marco Cassetta and Nati Lopez Diaz: the CUPRA FIP Tour record keeps growing

They’re the most successful players on the circuit — and once again proved it in Greece. Marco Cassetta and Nati Lopez Diaz, the two players with the most titles in CUPRA FIP Tour history, took center stage at the FIP Bronze Lyttos Crete II, alongside Jose Luis Gonzalez and   respectively, claiming yet another win in what’s already been an amazing year. Cassetta is now up to 13 career titles —six of them in 2025 — while Lopez Diaz hits 10 and takes the solo lead at the top of the women’s all-time list, moving past Patri Martinez and Laura Lujan (both with 9).

A huge achievement that also rewards their partners, who are moving up the all-time ranking as well: Gonzalez —who played with Cassetta in the final win over Nacho Moragues and Manuel Aragon (6-2 6-2) — strengthens his second place with 12 titles. Garcia, meanwhile, catches up with Martinez and Lujan at 9, just behind her partner, after their dominant final win against Victoria Kurz and Marcella Koek (6-1 6-1).

“I’m happy with how the tournament went with Jose”, Cassetta told FIP. “I’m especially pleased with how we played. It was a great tournament, with really tough matches starting from the round of 16. In the final we faced a very strong pair, and we won because we played a perfect match. I feel great with Jose both on and off the court, he’s a fantastic person. Now time for a little rest, and then straight back to work for the P1 in Madrid and the Major in Paris, two of the biggest tournaments of the year”.
