Potosí, Day1. All the top seeds to the round of 16. Women’s draw also starts today

The eight top seeds in the men’s draw at the FIP Gold in Potosí (Mexico) did not disappoint. On the first day of the third FIP Gold of the season, with 150 points up for grabs in the FIP ranking for the winners, the number 1 seeds Edu Alonso and Gonza Alfonso defeated Nunez/Nasif 6-0, 7-6, and the number 2 seeds Inigo Jofre and Lucas Campagnolo did the same (6-0, 6-1) against lucky losers Silberman/Diaz. Agustin Torre and Alex Ruiz (3) also won against Suarez/Alcaraz, as did Javier Barahona and Alvaro Cepero (4) against Argañaras/Almada. Among the top eight pairs in the draw, only Alberto Garcia and Ivan Ramirez (8) needed a third set to beat Escalante/Albanes 4-6, 7-5, 7-6.
Today, the second day of the main draw, the women’s draw of 16 pairs will also begin: a double round for everyone, with the round of 16 in the Mexican morning (6 p.m. CET) and the quarter-finals in the afternoon, starting at 4 p.m. (midnight CET).
