Vilamoura Summer Cup, Eleventh win for Nati Lopez Diaz: new record in the CUPRA FIP Tour

With her victory at the FIP Bronze Vilamoura, Nati López Díaz won her eleventh title in the CUPRA FIP Tour, becoming the most successful female player in the history of the tour. She won the final together with Lucia Garcia (who now has ten career titles), beating the top-seeded pair Touly-Fassio 6-1, 6-1. That team had just won the FIP Bronze Island Padel Jersey one week ago. This is the seventh title for the Lopez Diaz-Garcia pair – four of them in 2024. This year, they had already won the FIP Bronze Cyprus and the FIP Bronze Lyttos Crete III.

“Winning such an important tournament is always a great feeling. Congratulations to our opponents too for their great performances. Now we focus on the next tournaments,” said Nati Lopez Diaz after the award ceremony.

In the men’s draw, Pedro Araujo and José Luis Moya won the title, confirming their top seed status. They won the final with two tiebreak sets, 7-6, 7-6, against Dehnike-Demian.
