While the quarter-finals of the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2 were the last dance for Paquito Navarro and Lucas Bergamini, beaten 6-1 6-4 by Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas, and for Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal, who nevertheless managed to give Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia a hard time (7-5 7-6 was the final result), there is one pair already certain to end their partnership in Düsseldorf that continues to win. Momo Gonzalez and Jon Sanz, seeded number 6, eliminated Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk with a score of 7-5 6-4, earning a place in the semi-finals against Coello and Tapia. The other semi-final, in the bottom half of the draw, mirrors the entry list: on one side Yanguas/Nieto, on the other Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who stopped Martin Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger in the evening.
WOMEN At the CASTELLO in Düsseldorf, Saturday’s programme will open at 2 p.m. with the first semi-final of the women’s draw, featuring Andrea Ustero and Sofia Araujo against Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, both forced into a third set in today’s matches against Salazar/Calvo and Jensen/Alonso.
