Asia Final 8, Men’s semifinals: Between Qatar and the home title stand the United Arab Emirates

A dream that could come true: at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash International Complex in Doha, Qatar will play for the men’s title of the FIP Asia Padel Cup on home soil. In the semifinal against Iran, victories by Al Khanji and Aljufairi, and by brothers Rashid and Mashari Nawaf, secured the two points needed for Qatar’s win.
Looking to shatter Qatar’s dream will be the United Arab Emirates, who came from behind to defeat Australia 2-1. The decisive wins came in the second and third matches, respectively by Vilariño/M. Al Janahi (6-3 6-1) and Goenaga/F. Al Janahi (6-4 7-5).
