Day1. Another NextGen star shines: 16-year-old Ordoñez enters the main draw

The first day of the Premier Padel Newgiza P2 brings exciting news, once again highlighting the NextGen. The very young Claudia Ordoñez, only 16 years old, has qualified for the women’s main draw for the first time. Born on March 26, 2009, and currently ranked 262nd in the FIP ranking, Claudia paired with Candela Lucendo dropped only one game against the Egyptian duo Elshaer/Mohamed Hegy, celebrating their qualification for a first-round match where Ordoñez/Lucendo will face the Italian qualifiers Francesca Ligotti and Elsa Terranova.

MEN Tomorrow, after the first four matches of the men’s draw played today, the tournament will truly kick off, with 20 matches to be played across three courts. Among the Day1 results was a two-hour victory by Martin Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger over Andres Fernandez Lancha and Nachi Sager, in a day that also saw wins for Gil/Lamperti, Rubio/J. Ruiz, and Campagnolo/Garrido. The top pairs are ready for their debut: on the Centre Court, the third match of a program starting at 10.00 local time (8.00 CET) will feature Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan (1) against Gonza Alfonso and Sanyo Gutierrez. In the afternoon, Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebron (2) will face David Gala and Pablo Garcia Rodrigo.
