Day1. Men’s Final 8: Wins for Iran, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Australia: Rafter ok in two sets

The four seeded teams in the men’s Final 8 of the FIP Asia Padel Cup lived up to expectations. At the Khalifa Tennis and Squash International Complex in Doha, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Qatar all started with victories.
In Group A, Iran won all three matches without dropping a set against Jordan, while the United Arab Emirates claimed a 2–1 win over Lebanon, which managed to take the final match of the tie. In Group B, Australia secured three victories — the second featuring Pat Rafter, partnering Vuk Velickovic, who won in straight sets — while the host nation Qatar earned two wins over Kuwait.
Tomorrow marks the second day of the group stage, as the race for the semifinals continues.
