Day2. Marques and Sintes, from qualifying to the round of 16

The surprise of the Day2 of Premier Padel Rotterdam P1 comes from qualifying: Adrian Marques, number 157 in the FIP ranking, and Marc Sintes, number 86 and winner of five CUPRA FIP Tour titles between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, continue their march and will play in the round of 16 thanks to their victory over one of the pairs making their debut in the Netherlands, Pablo Cardona and Javi Garrido (10), whom they defeated 6-2 3-6 6-4. Three unseeded pairs have made it into the top 16: the other two are Fede Mouriño and Rama Valenzuela (7-5 6-4 over Javi Garcia and Javier Barahona) and José Diestro and Juanlu Esbri (6-4 6-4 over Victor and Alex Ruiz). Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia beat Goenaga/Hernandez 6-3 6-3 (Tolito Aguirre and Alex Chozas are in the round of 16), while Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan beat Facundo Dominguez and Javi Martinez 6-1 6-3 (Inigo Jofre and Alex Arroyo are in the round of 16).
WOMEN Thursday will see the completion of the quarterfinals in the women’s draw, with Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay (1) already qualified after taking advantage of the withdrawal of Lucia Martinez Gomez and Nuria Rodriguez. Victories for the seeded pairs from 5 to 8 (Ortega/Icardo, Jensen/Alonso, Salazar/Calvo, and Guinart/Virseda), with Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez facing Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno in the match that will open the afternoon session at 6 p.m. The lucky losers Bo Luttikhuis and Janine Hemmes will instead take the place of Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez.
