Indian Open, twelfth title for Laura Lujan

Second consecutive title for Laura Lujan and Leti Manquillo, one of the most in-form pairs on the CUPRA FIP Tour. After their victory at the FIP Silver in Ivory Coast earlier this month, the two Spaniards triumphed again at the FIP Silver Indian Open in Hyderabad, defeating the Dutch player Koek and Germany’s Kurz in the final, 6-3 4-6 6-1. With this win, Lujan joins Nati Lopez at the top of the list of the most successful players on the circuit, both with 12 titles, while her partner Manquillo now reaches 10. In the men’s draw, it was celebration time for Guillem Figuerola and Roberto Belmont, who defeated the Italian-Spanish duo Zurita/Melero 6-3 7-5.
