After a week dedicated to national teams, with the FIP Euro Padel Cup and the FIP Asia Padel Cup, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour returns with the Newgiza P2 event. The tour heads back to Egypt, where last year’s champions were Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas in the men’s draw, and Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo in the women’s. All four will compete again under the pyramids, but this time with different partners: Stupaczuk with Lebron, Yanguas with Nieto, Ortega with Icardo, and Araujo with Ustero.

MEN Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, winners of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1, will be the top seeds in a 32-pair men’s draw. Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas complete the top three seeds (they’ll open against the local wild cards Wakim/Hossam), while Jon Sanz and Paquito Navarro (No. 4) will take on Tino Libaak and Jairo Bautista. Possible quarterfinals: Chingotto/Galan (1)Di Nenno/Augsburger (5), Gonzalez/Guerrero (7)Nieto/Yanguas (3), Sanz/Navarro (4)Tello/Alonso (8), Bergamini/Leal (6)Lebron/Stupaczuk (2).
