From Milano to Newgiza, the champions remain the same. Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez in the women’s draw, and Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan in the men’s, repeated their titles won in Italy, lifting the trophy at the Egyptian P2 event, just before the start of the FIP World Cup Pairs, kicking off Monday in Kuwait. For Paula and Ari – the first players in history to win at least one Premier Padel title on four continents – it’s their sixth title of 2025, while for Fede and Ale it’s their seventh.

MEN The men’s final lasted just 55 minutes, with the top seeds not conceding a single break point and dropping only three games to Jon Sanz and Paquito Navarro (6-1 6-2), denying them what would have been their first title of 2025. “Thanks to our whole team for helping us achieve these results – said Chingotto –. Congratulations to Paquito and Jon for reaching the final, and to Ale for being by my side once again this week”. “It’s special for me to win a tournament here in front of this crowd”, added Galan before receiving the pyramid-shaped trophy.

WOMEN Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez also dropped just three games against Ale Salazar and Martina Calvo: nothing to be done for the 17-year-old Spaniard and the padel legend, as Paula and Ari prevailed 6-3 6-0 in one hour and 17 minutes. “Congrats to Martina and Ale for being, respectively, the youngest and the most experienced players to reach a final – said Ari –. Martina reminded me of when I was very young and played with Ale. In this final we had to give our all and stay focused to win”. “We try to play our best in every match – added Paula – and we’re happy we managed to do it here in Egypt, where it’s a pleasure to win. Martina shows great maturity on court, and she and Ale have a strong connection: she’ll keep improving a lot”.

From Egypt, the world’s padel stars now move on to Kuwait City, where from Monday the 3rd to Sunday the 9th the first edition of the FIP World Cup Pairs will take place.
