A weekend not to be missed in Alicante NextGen talents from around the world take the court for the most important title
December 17, 2025
The best NextGen talents are coming to Alicante. Club Atlético Montemar is ready to host the second edition of the FIP Promises Finals from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 December. After Venice, we fly to Spain for an event that will bring together the best that padel has to offer in the coming years. Alfonso Monferrer, president of the Valencian Community Padel Federation, described it as a tournament where you can find “the most authentic padel, where you can fully appreciate how this sport will evolve”.
The eight best pairs in the FIP Junior ranking will compete in four categories (Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12), for a total of eight draws between women and men. The format is identical for all: two Round Robins of four pairs each, with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals. The competition, which will bring over 500 athletes, coaches and family members to Alicante, will begin on Friday afternoon with the first tie; on Saturday, the second and third ties will be played in the morning and afternoon sessions respectively. Finally, on Sunday, the semi-finals are scheduled for the morning and the finals for the afternoon. The eight courts where the matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday will be streamed live on the FIP’s YouTube channel, as Club Atlético Montemar will welcome athletes from Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Argentina, Belgium, Sweden, Chile, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United States.
The Finals in Alicante bring to a close an extraordinary 2025 for the FIP Promises circuit, which started with three tournaments in 2021 and reached 90 this year. And from next year, with a new global structure in continental circuits (FIP Promises Europe, FIP Promises America, FIP Promises Asia/Oceania, FIP Promises Africa), FIP Promises will enter a new era, which will be completed in 2027 with the introduction of a global Under 18 circuit.
