It’s Finals Day: titles to be awarded in Alicante

Semi-finals from 10 a.m., finals not before 3 p.m. The most eagerly awaited day for the NextGen of world padel has arrived at the Club Atlético Montemar courts in Alicante: the eight titles of the FIP Promises Finals, which have welcomed the best talents on the planet to Spain, are up for grabs. The morning session will begin with the semi-finals of the Under 12 and Under 14 categories.

 

In the Under 12 category, Mariana Pedroso and Leonor Pintão will face Vera Dominguez Villanueva and Marta Bolivar Montes, and Kiara Bjorklund and Lucia Carretero Calderón will face Giorgia Zoe Pistritto and Miriam Pentrella. In the Under 12 boys’ category, Cristian Blanco Roig and Eduardo Mari Gutierrez versus Tello Bruiton Olcina and Paul Rolando Porcel, while Lucas Mateju Ortega and Joel Sanchez Martinez will take on Gilles De Peuter and Nicolas Van Brempt.

 

On courts 5 and 6, the Under 14 girls’ semi-finals: Ornella Beltramino and Valeria Garcia Martinez versus Ona Calvo Durban and Mar Garcia Casanova, and Carlota Lamas Rodriguez and Clara Alarcon Garcia versus Andrea Batlle Anchando and Claudia Ferrer Rubies. In the men’s competition, Mario Brocal Aviles and Ian Garcia Calvo will face Cristian Riesgo Mendez and Joel Ranera Pedrero, while Mario Munoz Polanco and Mikel Ibanez Gimenez will take on Malte Lindh and Filip Dahlqvist.

 

Next up will be the other categories. In the Under 16 girls’ competition, Susana Martin Narin and Mar Munera Vila will face Marina Serrano Herrera and Candela De Soroa Jimenez, while Vega Cano Ortín and Carla Medio Boto will take on Emma Speziali and Sophie Caruso. In the men’s competition, Alessandro Zaccagnino and Jacopo Battilani will face Jaime Rodriguez and Daniel Sardina, and Vicente Soto and Iker Zamora Garcia versus Juan Conesa Garcia and Aaron Garcia Rubio.

 

Finally, in the Under 18 competition, Paula Gil Aguilar and Daniela Valiente Escrich will face Laura Ferrer Rubies and Andrea Arcos Calderon, and Maria Martinez Perez and Leyre Montañez Calvo versus Matilde Minelli and Camilla Livioni. while in the men’s tournament, Alejandro Merino Nieto and Jaime Pérez Martín will face Thomas Panken and Jorrit Hazebroek, and Jose Enrique Gimenez Barcelona and Alvaro Pozo Marroyo will take on Guillermo Fernández Sánchez and Sergio Tierno Herrero.

 

The winning pairs will return to the court at 3 p.m. for the finals.
