Caen, France hosts the first European tournament of 2026
January 21, 2026
After the first two tournaments of 2026 played in Australia, Caen (France) will host the first European event of the 2026 CUPRA FIP Tour. France will play a leading role in these early weeks of the year, as in February – before the start of the Premier Padel season – an FIP Platinum tournament will also take place in Marseille. Gonzalo Rubio and Javi Ruiz lead the 32-player men’s draw, with Argentina’s Agustin Torre and Italy’s Aris Patiniotis on the opposite side of the main draw.
There will be 24 pairs competing in the women’s draw, with the top eight starting directly from the round of 16. Great anticipation surrounds Alix Collombon and Lea Godallier, seeded first and second respectively alongside Spain’s Jana Montes and Camila Fassio. Today’s schedule features the first-round matches, with the finals set to be played on Saturday at the Parc des Expositions.
