Day4. Paquito&Guerrero storm into the semis. What a start to 2026 for Fran!

The pala is roaring at the Padel Rush Arena. The men’s quarter-finals of the Riyadh Season P1 delivered a major statement from one of the brand-new partnerships of 2026: Paquito Navarro and Fran Guerrero. Just five days after lifting the FIP Platinum trophy in Marseille alongside Javi Leal, Guerrero is back in the spotlight, this time booking a semi-final spot at the first Premier Padel event of the season. Navarro and Guerrero turned the match around to defeat third seeds Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas 3-6 6-3 6-2, eliminating the only top-four pair not to reach the last four. Next up: Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who powered past Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini (8) 6-1 6-3. In the top half of the draw, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia secured their place in the semi-finals (6-2 2-1 before the withdrawal of Juan Tello and Edu Alonso) and will face Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger (4), who brought an end to the dream run of qualifiers Javi Martinez and Rama Valenzuela, winning 6-2, 7-5.

WOMEN The much-anticipated first showdown as rivals between Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez will have to wait. Ari, partnering Andrea Ustero, delivered a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win over Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso. Meanwhile, Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez were stunned in a dramatic battle, falling 6-7 6-4 6-2 after two hours and 45 minutes to Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen. The first semi-final of the day (3 p.m. local time, 1 p.m. CET) will see Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay – 6-2 6-4 winners over Marta Ortega and Martina Calvo – take on Claudia Fernandez and Sofia Araujo, who claimed a double 6-4 victory against Victoria Iglesias and Aranzazu Osoro.
