Finland, from Tolito to “Los Javis”: stars take the court in Espoo
February 25, 2026
From Tolito Aguirre with Alex Arroyo to Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado, as well as Carolina Orsi, Araceli Martinez, Noa Canovas and Laia Rodriguez. These are some of the stars set to compete at the FIP Silver ESC Padel in Espoo, the new Finnish stop on the CUPRA FIP Tour following last season’s three Bronze events. The tournament will feature many top-ranked players, with 30 men and women from the top 100 in the ranking FIP among the seeded entries.
In the men’s draw, Tolito Aguirre and Alex Arroyo lead the entry list ahead of the “Javis” — Javi Garcia and Javi Barahona — two of the most successful players on the CUPRA FIP Tour, with 11 and 10 titles respectively. After their outstanding weekend at the FIP Silver in Dubai, Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado (6) are aiming for a second consecutive title. Other contenders include David Gala and Pablo Garcia (3), as well as the 2025 CUPRA Finals winners José Jimenez and Maxi Sanchez Blasco (4).
The women’s tournament also promises strong competition, led by Carolina Orsi and Araceli Martinez, returning to the CUPRA FIP Tour following their success at the FIP Silver in Naples last November. Noa Canovas and Laia Rodriguez open the lower half of the draw, with challengers including Leti Manquillo and Melania Merino, and Nuria Rodriguez and Giulia Dal Pozzo. The first round begins on Thursday at 16 with the women’s draw, while the men will not take to the court before 18.30.
