Results from the first historic CUPRA FIP Tour event in Kenya

The first event in the history of the CUPRA FIP Tour in Kenya has concluded. Mafalda Fernandes and Alexandra Silva won the women’s draw at the FIP Bronze in Nairobi. Their opponents in the final, top seeds Camille Sireix and Melissa Martin, retired with the score at 6-2 5-1 in favour of the champions. Fernandes returns to winning a CUPRA FIP Tour event after three and a half years: the first and only previous occasion was at the FIP Platinum in Mexico City in October 2022. For Silva, the title secured in Kenya marks the first of her career on this circuit.

The winners of the men’s draw are Adri Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez (4): the pair claimed the title at the end of a closely contested final against Victor Tur Checa and Agustin Reca, decided by a third-set tie-break (6-7 6-4 7-6). For the champions, the title in Kenya is their second of 2026: at the beginning of March they had already won the FIP Bronze in Singapore. “Champions – said Sanchez after the triumph -. We played a great match as a team”.
