March 22, 2026
From Mexico to the United States, from Cancún to Miami. There is hardly time to reflect on the emotions of this week, with the finals scheduled for today, as the Premier Padel circuit is already set for another key event. The Miami Beach Convention Center will host the second edition of the Miami P1, which last year played a significant role in the development of padel in the United States. Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay in the women’s draw, and Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan in the men’s draw, will defend their titles, but several pairs are ready to challenge them: Miami will also mark the return to competition of Pablo Cardona, after a long period out due to injury, seeded number 9 alongside Javi Leal.
MEN A total of 48 pairs will compete in the men’s tournament, with the 16 seeded pairs entering in the second round. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, finalists in Cancún, will face Agustin Torre and Curro Cabeza or a qualifying pair in their opening match, but a potential rematch of the Cancún semi-final against Tolito Aguirre and Alex Arroyo could already take place in the round of 16. Chingotto and Galan, defeated in the quarter-finals in Mexico, will begin against ‘Pincho’ Fernandez and José Luiz Gonzalez or the American wild cards Di Francesco/Agritelley. A qualifying pair will open the week for Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger, who arrive from the Cancún final. Possible quarter-finals: Coello/Tapia (1)-Guerrero/Navarro (6), Nieto/Sanz (5)-Lebron/Augsburger (4), Stupaczuk/Yanguas (3)-Gonzalez/Di Nenno (7), Garrido/Bergamini (8)-Chingotto/Galan (2).
WOMEN After the final in Mexico, Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay will also defend their title in Florida. Alix Collombon and Jana Montes or Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio will be their first opponents in a 28-pair draw, with the top four seeds entering at the round of 16 stage. In the top half are also Claudia Fernandez and Sofia Araujo, with Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero and Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez in the bottom half. For Paulita and Bea, currently competing in Cancún for their first title, the opening match will be against Virginia Riera and Teresa Navarro or a qualifying pair. Possible quarter-finals: Brea/Triay (1)-Icardo/Jensen (5), Ortega/Calvo (6)-Fernandez/Araujo (4), Ustero/Sanchez (3)-Salazar/Alonso (7), Guinart/Virseda (8)-Josemaria/Gonzalez (2).
