April 13, 2026
Mexico has two new champions: Alex Chozas and Tino Libaak, n.27 and 46 in the FIP Ranking, claimed the title at the FIP Silver in Aguascalientes thanks to a victory in the final against the tournament’s n.2 seeds, Matias Almada and Tolito Aguirre (6-4 6-4). The winners reached the final after defeating Agustín Torre and Federico Chiostri (6-4 7-6) in the semi-finals, in one of the most notable matches of the tournament. The title secured in Mexico by the Libaak–Chozas duo is their first of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour and follows a start to 2026 in which they reached the round of 16 at the Premier Padel events in Riyadh, Gijón and Miami. It was a flawless run for the top seeds at Padel 3015 The Complex, where they claimed the title without dropping a set.
“I am very pleased with how Alex and I played over the weekend – said Libaak after the victory -. I would also like to thank all the fans for their support”. Chozas also commented on the win: “Congratulations to our opponents Tolito and Mati; they are two great friends. I am very happy with the title that Tino and I won in Mexico”.
