Cyprus, Navarro targets fourth title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour

Following her victories at the FIP Bronze events in Agrigento and Bahrain, and the FIP Silver in Dubai, Teresa Navarro has a clear objective: to secure her fourth title of the year on the CUPRA FIP Tour by winning the FIP Bronze Cyprus I. In this tournament, the world n.49 in the FIP Ranking will compete alongside Tunisia’s Dora Chamli. Their main rivals are the top seeds Sandra Bellver (60) and Melania Merino (44), winners earlier this month of the FIP Bronze Netherlands. Another pair not to be underestimated is that formed by Lucía Micaela Fernández, champion of last week’s FIP Bronze in Baku, and Maria Teresa Moriñigo. Also among the entrants are Ainize Santamaria and Blanca Arriola Cerrejón.

Italy’s Flavio Abbate and Alvaro Montiel lead the men’s draw. The two are placed in the top half of the draw alongside their national teammates Giulio Graziotti and Simone Iacovino, with whom they won bronze at the FIP Euro Padel Cup last October. In the opposite half are Adrián Marqués and Dani Luna, winners of the FIP Bronze Comunidad Valenciana in January, and Sten Richters and Simone Cremona, who are aiming for their third title of the season after their double success in Australia, at the FIP Silver and Bronze events in Melbourne, at the beginning of January.
