Double title in Portugal for Sanchez Del Viejo-Santisteban Letamendia

At the FIP Promises Tour event in Oeiras, Portugal, home players Amaya Sanchez Del Viejo and Naia Santisteban Letamendia achieved a double by winning the Under 16 and Under 18 girls’ titles. Francisca Cravo, following her success in Setúbal last week alongside Clara Lorenzo García, also triumphed in Oeiras, partnering Mariana Pedroso (Under 14). In the boys’ competitions, there was a surprise victory for Javier Bolumar Orti-Hassan Adel Waly (Under 18), this latter became the first Qatari to win a European title in this circuit. In the final, the champions defeated the number one seeds Juan Carlos Gutierrez Guerrero and Mario Guerrero Martinez (6-4 7-6), having earlier overcome Lautaro Dos Santos Sueyro-Valentin Villalba in the semi-finals (6-4 6-3).
