Eidsvoll, Bidahorria targets a second title. Luján seeks revenge

Following her success last week in Ivory Coast, world n.39 in the FIP Ranking Julieta Bidahorria is aiming to secure victory at the FIP Bronze S4Sport Open in Eidsvoll, Norway, where she will compete alongside Christina-Styliani Ntanou. The main obstacle to another title for Bidahorria is represented by one of the players she defeated in the final of the FIP Silver in Abidjan: Laura Luján (49), this time partnering Julia Polo (51). The latter has competed in the main draws of the Premier Padel tournaments in Riyadh, Cancún and Miami in 2026, while in Gijón she played in the qualifying rounds. The two pairs are positioned on opposite sides of the draw, and the only match in which they could meet is the final. Also entered in the tournament are Ana Varo-Janine Hemmes, Ana Cristina Sánchez-Natalia Molinilla and Angelina Neizvestnaya-Elsa Terranova.

In the men’s draw, the top seeds Emilio Sanchez and Josete Rico are the favourites for the title and will aim to secure their first trophy on the CUPRA FIP Tour this year. Their main challengers are Nuno Deus (47) and FIP Silver Parma finalist Pedro Perry, while FIP Bronze Melbourne winner Sten Richters will compete alongside Pau Miñano Ortinez. Among the competitive pairs are also the brothers Pedro and Álvaro Mélendez.
