Elche, Fernández Lancha-Ortega target title in Spain

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Spain with the FIP Bronze in Elche. In the men’s draw, the number 1 seeds are Andrés Fernández Lancha and Mario Ortega, reunited on the Tour courts after reaching the semi-finals of last year’s FIP Silver in Como. In the top half of the draw are Dani Santigosa and Marc Sintes, a pair who have already secured a title in 2026 at the FIP Silver in Caen, France. In the opposite half is a player arriving in Spain following appearances in the Premier Padel tournaments in Cancún, Riyadh and Miami: Nachi Sager, partnered with Diego Dorta. Also in focus is the very young pairing of 17-year-old Manuel Castaño, one of the revelations of the start of the season, and 19-year-old Juani Rubini.

Leading the women’s main draw are Noemí Aguilar, winner of the FIP Bronze in Siracusa in March, and Amanda López, who has yet to claim a title on this circuit this year. Their main challengers are Camila Fassio and Aida Martinez, the latter having reached the round of 16 at the Premier Padel P2 in Cancún. Other pairs with title ambitions include Claudia Escacena-Maria Delgado, Maria Teresa Moriñigo-Carmen Castillón and Valeria Atencia-Ainara Pozuelo.
