From Portugal to India, NextGen on court in three new stages

Two events in Europe and one in Asia. This weekend, the NextGen of padel will be competing in three stages of the Promises FIP Tour: in Setúbal (Portugal), Sandigliano (Italy), and Mumbai (India).

In Portugal, more than 100 young athletes will compete on the courts of Padel Nas Pirâmides. In the Under 18 boys’ category, the favourites for the title are the top seeds Francisco Gonçalves Da Silva and Javier Merino Nieto. Their main challengers are Juan Carlos Gutierrez Guerrero and Mario Guerrero Martinez. In the same category for girls, the Portuguese pair Maria Francisca Santos and Maria Leonor Araujo Teixeira lead the draw. After securing a double title last week in Elvas, also in Portugal, Francisca Cravo and Clara Lorenzo García aim to claim victory in the Under 14 category in Setúbal as well.

At the Sandigliano event, scheduled at the “Santo Stefano Padel” club, there will be four men’s draws and three women’s draws. In the Under 18 boys’ category, it will be a contest between Luca Moneta and Nicola Rambaldo (1) and Gian Andrea Farabbi and Luca Maria Laguzza (2). Matilda Caratella and Costanza Vanni, the top seeds in the Under 16 girls’ category, begin with the objective of winning the title.

At the Asian stage in Mumbai dedicated to the NextGen, the Under 14 boys’ draw will be played at the Vpadel Arena. Also this weekend in India, a stage of the CUPRA FIP Tour will take place: the FIP Bronze Mumbai II.
