At the prestigious FIP Silver BMW Marmotor 26º Aniversario Club La Calzada in Gran Canaria, the title contest will feature José Jimenez and Javi Garcia, No. 35 and No. 21 in the FIP Ranking, against Mariano Gonzalez and “Curro” Cabeza. The former arrive in Spain following a quarter-final appearance at the Premier Padel P2 in Newgiza, while the latter secured victory in April at the FIP Bronze in Marrakech. The two pairs are placed on opposite sides of the draw and could meet only in a potential final. Other pairs include Álvaro Cepero-Bentahor Espino Mustafa, Pepe Aliaga-Pau Miñano, and Marcos Gonzalez Blasco-Víctor Mena.
Following their victories in the tournaments in Nola (Italy) and Ponta Delgada (Portugal), the pair formed by Martina Fassio (22) and Raquel Eugenio (23) arrives in Spain aiming to claim their third title of the year together. In 2026, Eugenio has also won the FIP Silver in Parma and the FIP Platinum in Marseille alongside Lucía Sainz. The main challengers to Fassio-Eugenio will be Lucía Martínez (38) and Águeda Pérez Ortiz (40). The tournament’s No. 3 seeds are Leti Manquillo (46) and Noemi Aguilar (47), who triumphed this year at the FIP Bronze in Syracuse. Another pair to watch is that of Aida Martinez (66) and Camila Fassio (75), who reached the final of the FIP Silver in Bari last Sunday. Among the players entered are also Carla Fernandez-Nerea Guerra and Catherine Rose-Lucia Perez.
