Ijuí, Giusti Gomes and Acunha De Oliveira triumph in Brazil

 

The Promises FIP Tour event held in Ijuí, Brazil, has concluded. Following her semi-final appearance last week at the FIP Bronze in Aguascalientes, the Mexican stage of the CUPRA FIP Tour, Julia Giusti Gomes won the Under 18 title alongside Ana Julia Acunha De Oliveira. Over the weekend, Giusti Gomes also competed in the FIP Bronze in Ijuí, where she reached the semi-finals playing with Gabriela Menna Barreto. In the Under 14 and Under 16 categories, the pair Leila Nanami Seki Onishi-Mayra Cibils achieved a double title.

 

In the men’s events, Lucas Bareño Nieto and Nathan De Barros Duval became Under 18 champions following a very closely contested final against Frederico De Marco Rigon and Luca Formigheri (6-3 4-6 10-8). The latter pair then went on to claim the Under 16 title by defeating the wild cards Martin Quadros and Benicio Fardin in the final (6-4 6-2).
