Bratislava celebrates the debut of the CUPRA FIP Tour in Slovakia

This will be an important weekend for international padel as it marks a further step in its global expansion with the debut of the CUPRA FIP Tour in Slovakia, where the FIP Bronze Bratislava will be held. This country is one of 17 new nations that this year have already hosted or will host a stage of the circuit. According to data from the World Padel Report 2025 by the International Padel Federation, there are 10,000 amateur players in Slovakia.

In Bratislava, Adri Naránjo and Pablo Sánchez could be on course for a third title of the season. The pair are the tournament’s top seeds and in 2026 have already triumphed at the FIP Bronze events in Nairobi (Kenya) and Singapore. Among their leading rivals are Simone Iacovino and Giulio Graziotti, runners-up at the FIP Bronze Hong Kong II at the end of March. Also among the contenders aiming to lift the title are the Italian pair Federico Galli-Lorenzo Di Giovanni and Thomas Vanbauce-Julien Seurin.

In the women’s draw, there is a pair in search of a fourth title of the year: Claudia Escacena and Mónica Gómez Rivas. The two Spanish players triumphed in March at the FIP Bronze events in Helsingborg (Sweden), Houten (Netherlands) and Viseu (Portugal). Their main challengers for the title are Xenia Clasca Vidiella and Lorena Vano. In Bratislava there will also be the Italian players Emily Stellato, a recent finalist at the FIP Silver in Teramo alongside Carolina Orsi, and Giulia Sussarello. Also worth watching are Sara Foguer Lapuente and Eugenia Guimet.
