May 14, 2026
The top players have arrived at Parque Roca. While awaiting the debut of the top four pairs in the women’s draw (Brea/Triay, Josemaria/Gonzalez, Sanchez/Ustero, Fernandez/Araujo), the Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1 saw the opening matches of many seeded pairs. Araceli Martinez and Lucia Sainz will be the opponents of the world number 1 pair, while Marta Talavan and Sofia Saiz, thanks to a double 7-6 win over Teresa Navarro and Virginia Riera, earned a meeting with the number 2 seeds Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez, who resume in Buenos Aires the winning streak that has already brought them four consecutive Premier Padel titles.
MEN In the men’s tournament, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan were pushed for one set by Enzo Jensen and Luis Hernandez before sealing a 7-6 6-0 victory to book a place in the round of 16 against Javier Barahona and Gonza Alfonso. A double 6-3 win for Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia over Javier Valdés and Renzo Núñez: today the world number 1s face an important test against Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi. Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno, who from the next Premier Padel tournament (the Rome Major, scheduled for the first week of June) will return to playing together, meanwhile began their final tournament with their current partners with victories: the Spaniard, alongside Fran Guerrero, defeated Mario Huete and José Luis Gonzalez 6-1 6-3, while the Argentine did the same with Momo Gonzalez, beating José Diestro and Maxi Sanchez Blasco 6-3 6-1.
Today, starting from 10 a.m. local time (3 p.m. CEST), the round of 16 will take place, with 16 matches spread across three courts: at a packed Parque Roca, the show has only just begun.
