Stellato-Sussarello, the ‘Azzurre’ celebrate in Bratislava

Team-mates in many successes with the Italian national team and now winners of the first CUPRA FIP Tour tournament held in Slovakia. Emily Stellato and Giulia Sussarello claimed the title at the FIP Bronze in Bratislava after defeating another “azzurra” — Lorena Vano — partnered with Xènia Clascà in the final (2-6 6-0 6-4). For Stellato and Sussarello, it is their first title of 2026 following finals reached at the FIP Bronze in Agrigento and the FIP Silver in Caltanissetta. “And here we are, with the smile that has always set us apart”, commented Stellato, who alongside Sussarello won, among many achievements, the bronze medal at the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships and third place at last year’s FIP Euro Padel Cup. “We win this title after coming close in recent tournaments. Huge congratulations to our team-mate Lorena for the excellent final she played with Xènia — well done!”.

Another title also arrived for Spaniards Adri Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez, who came back to defeat Italians Giulio Graziotti and Simone Iacovino (4-6 6-3 7-6). For the 19-year-old from Valencia and the 20-year-old from Madrid, it is their third title of the year after victories at the FIP Bronze in Singapore and the FIP Bronze in Nairobi. “Very happy to take home this title in Bratislava after playing at a great level”, said Naranjo. “Great tournament, Pablo. Hard work brings rewards and this is only the beginning”. “Let’s keep going like this, Adri!”, replied his team-mate.
