Celebrations in Durban for Imaan Valli

She was one of the most anticipated athletes and she lived up to expectations. At the FIP Promises The Travel Boss Cup in Durban, South Africa, Imaan Valli enjoyed an outstanding weekend, claiming two titles. The first came in the Under 18 category, alongside Caterina Frazzitta, with a 6-2 6-2 victory over Hartnick/Gani. The second title came in the Under 16 category with Basma Moola, once again dominating the final (6-2 6-0) against Sibda/Hansrod. “Ima” therefore consolidates her position at the top of the girls’ FIP Promises Africa Under 18 Ranking, where Under 18 finalists Hartnick/Gani sit in third and fourth place, with Caterina Frazzitta in fifth — all South African, like Valli. In total, eight draws were contested in Durban, four in the boys’ competition and four in the girls’ competition. Here are all the winners:
