Dream tournament in Rome for spanish pair Trillo Costas-Claret Ventura

A memorable weekend for Arnau Trillo Costas and Siscu Claret Ventura. The two young Spanish talents claimed the Under 18 title at the FIP Promises in Rome thanks to their victory in the final against Aleix Fortes Navarro and Gerard Dorado Rodriguez after a closely contested match that was decided only in the super tie-break (1-6 7-5 10-7). In their previous match, the semi-final, Trillo Costas and Claret Ventura had also prevailed in a super tie-break, defeating the top seeds, Sweden’s Eddi Svensson and Filip Sterner, 6-4 1-6 10-7.

 

In the Under 16 category, Andrea Maggi and Alessandro Spanu lifted the winners’ trophy after defeating Malte Lindh and Filip Dahlqvist in the title match in straight sets (6-4 7-6). In the girls’ Under 16 category, Emma Biagianti and Arle Etxebarria Sanahuja were crowned champions in Italy, defeating Italians Federica Dezii and Eleonora Regini in the final.

 

During June, Rome once again confirmed its status as one of the leading cities in world padel. Alongside the FIP Promises Tour event held at the Foro Italico earlier this month, the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel also took place. This week, another CUPRA FIP Tour event have been staged in Italy: the FIP Bronze Cordenons.
