Porto kicks off the qualification stage for the Final 8

The qualifying groups have been drawn: from 27 to 29 June, eighteen men’s national teams and fifteen women’s national teams will compete for the last four available places in the final stage.
Anticipation is building in Porto for the opening stage of the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026, the event dedicated to the elite of European junior padel. Following the draw for the qualification phase, the competition now gets underway at the Padel Athletic Club: from 27 to 29 June, Europe’s NextGen players in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 categories will compete with the objective of securing the final four places for the men’s and women’s Final 8, which will begin on 30 June.
Eighteen men’s national teams will take to the court, while fifteen nations will compete in the women’s event. Only the first-placed team in each group will qualify for the Final 8, joining the four teams already qualified directly based on 2024 Junior European Championship standings: Spain, France, Sweden and Belgium in the men’s event, and Spain, Italy, Portugal and France in the women’s event.
GROUPS In the men’s qualification phase, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Estonia are the four seeded teams according to the FIP Rankings. The groups are as follows:
Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Czechia
Group B: Portugal, Hungary, Norway, Ukraine
Group C: Netherlands, Austria, Lithuania, Moldova, Cyprus
Group D: Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Great Britain, Poland
The women’s draw is led by the seeded teams Belgium, Sweden, Netherlands and Estonia. The full group list is as follows:
Group A: Belgium, Czechia, Great Britain
Group B: Sweden, Hungary, Norway, Denmark
Group C: Netherlands, Germany, Moldova, Switzerland
Group D: Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland
The competition format includes three matches per tie (Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18), played in a round-robin system, and all matches will be broadcast live on the FIP YouTube channel. On Monday evening, following the final matches, the Final 8 lineup will be completed and the race to catch Spain, reigning champions in both events, will begin, culminating in the finals on 4 July.
