From Europe to South America, a weekend in the spotlight for the NextGen
July 24, 2026
From Europe to South America, four new stops on the FIP Promises Tour will accompany this weekend’s professional tournaments, with plenty of young talents ready to take centre stage. The new event in Burgos, Spain, is among the most eagerly awaited, with 150 pairs entered across eight draws for boys and girls, from Under 12 to Under 18. Among the standout names is newly crowned FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup champion Christian Riesgo, who, alongside Joel Ranera, leads the boys’ Under 14 draw. In the girls’ Under 14 event, Valentina Fernandez Lopez, who also claimed European junior gold last month, will be one to watch.
In Lisbon, Portugal, seven draws will be contested at the FIP Promises Padel Expo (four boys’ and three girls’). Among the leading names are Francisca Cravo, No. 2 in the European FIP Promises Under 14 Ranking, and fellow Portuguese player Salvador Condenso, currently in the continental Under 12 top five. There will be a strong Italian NextGen presence at the FIP Promises Sanremo Padel Experience in Bruino, near Turin, but not only that: Spanish, French and Belgian players will also compete, while GPadel will welcome young talents from Great Britain, Mexico and Argentina.
The weekend Tour concludes in Brazil, in Camboriú. Alongside the men’s FIP Silver and the women’s FIP Bronze, Delta Padel will host some of Brazil’s most promising young players, including Marta Hossein and Cecilia Almeida (top seeds in the girls’ Under 16 draw), Frederico De Marco Rigon and Luca Formighieri (boys’ Under 16), and Teodoro Metzdorf with Mateus Ferreira Maas (boys’ Under 14), all among the leading players in the FIP Promises Ranking Americas.
