Santamaria and Gomez lead the draw in Brazil
July 23, 2026
Not only men’s padel will take centre stage: Camboriú, the Brazilian city hosting the FIP Silver this weekend, will also welcome the FIP Bronze women’s tournament, which promises high-level action from Friday with a strong international field and several young talents from the circuit.
Two European partnerships lead the seeding: Nerea Gomez and Ainize Santamaria top the entry list, with the latter aiming for her second CUPRA FIP Tour title in July after winning the FIP Bronze in Hungary. On the opposite side of the draw, as the No. 2 seeds, another European team will challenge for the title, with Hungary’s Dora Andrejszki and Portugal’s Patricia Ribeiro.
Among the title contenders are also Brazilian players Julia Giusti Gomes and Cristina Cirne, followed by Chile’s Catalina Arancibia Baeza and Kimberley Ahumada Carrasco (4). The No. 5 seeds will be Argentina’s promising player Fiorella Propato, teaming up with Chile’s Giannina Minieri. Completing the list of seeded pairs are Brazil’s Abarzua Branchi/Abbud De Barros (6), Argentina’s Luini/Mosca (7), and the Chilean-Brazilian duo Bentjerodt Burgos/Afonso Maas (8).
