The road to Doha begins in Toronto: Canada, Mexico and USA in action

The FIP World Cup 2026 Qualifiers move into full swing. The journey towards the season’s most anticipated event begins in Toronto, where the men’s and women’s national teams of Canada, Mexico and the United States will compete in the North and Central America qualifying event from Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August. The tournament is organised by the International Padel Federation (FIP) in collaboration with the Padel Association of Canada. At stake are two places in the men’s draw and one in the women’s draw for the FIP World Cup to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 2 to 7 November.

Play gets underway on Friday 31 July at 1 pm local time (19 CEST) with the men’s tie between Canada and the United States. At 4 pm (22 CEST), Mexico and Canada will meet in the women’s competition. The three national teams will compete in a round-robin format, with each side facing the other two to determine the final standings.

The FIP World Cup 2026 will feature a total of 32 national teams, with 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams. Ten places have already been allocated in each draw: nine to the highest-ranked nations from the FIP World Padel Championships 2024 and one to hosts Qatar.

Following the North and Central America qualifying event, the qualification pathway will continue in South America from 20 to 22 August in Asunción, Paraguay, where one place in the men’s draw and two in the women’s draw will be available. The European FIP World Cup Qualifiers will then take place, with two places at stake in each draw, followed by the combined Africa-Asia qualifying tournament, which will award the final available place in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
