Ferrán-Martin, what a feeling with Portugal! Home celebration for Araujo-Graça

From the joy following their victory at the FIP Junior Euro Padel CUP 2026, held in the city of Porto between late June and early July wearing the Spain shirt, to the smiles following their victory at the FIP Bronze in Portimão last weekend. The young Spaniards Paula Ferrán, 16, and Susana Martin, 17, confirmed their strong record in Portugal by becoming champions just over a month after winning the title with the Spanish junior national team. Ferrán and Martin, after defeating Alexandra Silva and Catarina Santos (6-3 6-0) in the semi-finals, prevailed in the final against Clarinha Santos and Brittany Dubins in three sets (6-4 2-6 6-4). For the winners, this was their second title of the year together on the circuit: in June, they had claimed the FIP Bronze title in Warsaw. This success also renewed Ferrán’s special connection with Portugal, where in April last year she became the youngest-ever winner of a CUPRA FIP Tour tournament at the age of 15, winning the FIP Bronze in Setúbal.

From last February’s triumph at the FIP Bronze in Madeira to the title won in Portimão last weekend. Portuguese players Pedro Graça and Pedro Araujo, vice European champions with their national team, claimed their second title of the year in their home country: the two champions lifted the winners’ trophy after defeating the Spanish duo of Pepe Aliaga and Samu Rivas 6-3 6-3 in the final, having previously overcome Sergio Icardo-Jordi Casanova (6-4 6-3) in the semi-finals and compatriots Manuel Sousa-Tiago Valerio (6-1 6-3) in the quarter-finals. Graça and Araujo therefore confirmed their strong record when playing in front of their home crowd on the CUPRA FIP Tour. “We are happy and proud to have won another FIP title! – said Graça-. This success is even more special because it came at home, in the Algarve, in front of our family, friends and all the people who came to support us. Let’s keep it going!”.
